Our Primary programme, which caters for children from age 3 to age 11 focuses on the two key skills at the heart of a child’s education: literacy and numeracy, or English and Maths. These two subjects are the underpinning for all future learning and it is imperative that children build a solid foundation in them. We also help prepare pupils for the Key Stage 1 SATS, sat at the end of Year 2, within this course.
The English course focuses on the development of phonics and reading skills, progressing to the learning of new grammar and language skills coupled with an introduction to comprehension and writing.
The Maths course develops the core understanding and application of basic arithmetic, by applying it to a range of worded questions. The course texts encourage understanding of multi-stage questions and problem solving, and are designed to regularly review these skills. The aim is for the pupil to be competent not only in numeracy skills, but also in their application to wide ranging situations.
Small class sizes at a maximum of six pupils per teacher. The pupils benefit from working closely with their peers and the individualised attention that they get from the teacher. It also allows us to carefully monitor the progress of each child.
Classes are grouped according to ability and school year group to ensure the best fit. Each student works at their own pace on a programme specific to their own requirements. Teaching is a mixture of instruction, and workbook based learning.
Classes take place after school and weekends during term time. To apply and for further information, please contact us today!
