Key Stage 3
The Key Stage 3 phase is the first three years of a child’s secondary education, that is, Years 7, 8 and 9. These years, which precede GCSE, are vital in building a solid foundation of knowledge for the exams that will follow.
Our Key Stage 3 programme offers the core subjects of English, Maths and Science. We offer KS3 Science revision, KS3 Maths revision and KS3 English revision to consolidate learning in school. The course will also assist with Year 9 revision as students look to ensure a solid basis of knowledge as they move onto the GCSE courses.
Students are taught within a year group class with a maximum of 12 students. Each week’s lesson follows a specified programme to support the UK National Curriculum. Learning is carried out via formal teaching, work-book based activities and past paper practice. As children near their GCSEs, they are encouraged to approach their work with greater independence and creativity to make them better learners.
Classes take place both during the week after school and on weekends during term time.
